On Psychotic Supper, they focus on understated, bluesy hard rock, with an occasional acoustic guitar thrown in for variety. The result is well worth a listen, and this album contains some of their best material, including the anthemic "Edison's Medicine /5().

    Like the other review I have to agree that this album falls inbetween the first two. 'Psychotic Supper' has a raw feel to it but that's not a bad thing. I am a big Tesla fan and I like this album. Its one of those, the more you play it- the better it gets. It does help that the songs get better as the record goes on/5().

    May 07,  · I agree, fantastic sounding!! Packaging is barebones but the album over comes that shortcoming. Tesla were a great band. This album symbolized the hair metal scene giving the middle finger to rock, saying "fuck you, we are smart and talented you pretentious fucks"/5().

    Going over the top was never what Tesla did best, and Psychotic Supper shows enough variation and occasional understatement to retain the listener's interest. Many of the band's best songs are here, including "What You Give," "Call It What You Want," "Song and Emotion," and "Edison's Medicine"; the latter is perhaps the most typical of the pop-metal anthem sound, but its subject matter -- the 7/
